'86 Considered the golden age of hip hop, will always be remembered mostly for the Infamous Bronx Vs Queens wars between KRS-One and MC Shan. Now, years later, The Bronx and Queens come together in the form of IG Off & Hazadus.
IG Off hailing from the notorious Edgemere Projects in Far Rockaway, is best known for Rappin’ freestyles from back in the day spots like the Muse and 20 West. I.G. Off have appeared on The 1st Blaze Magazine Battle hosted by KRS One, to go up against Roc from Helta Skelta and came out with a victory. These two together form IG Off & Hazadus, also know as "The Highest".
They have been through many trials and tribulations and have respectfully paid their dues in the industry. They know exactly what true dedication is all about. They have been in the industry for quite some time now. The time has come for the two to rise above the underground and hit the mainstream. The industry and fans will appreciate what these two brothers produce. When it comes to true art they can perfect the many styles. Kid Capri heard IG Off freestyle at a club and then invited him to his studio. Hazadus happened to be there too at that time. IG Off & Hazadus started rhyming together, and Kid Capri stated that they sound good together as a group. That’s when the two decided to unite and label themselves as, “The Highest.” There are a number of compilation albums that these two appeared on together as a group. Just to name a few are Lyricist Lounge Album, Compilation for Japan, and Norway & Europe. The two also appeared in a Lugz Ad with Kid Capri. They filmed a documentary titled, “Hip Hop – A Tale From The Hood” which have been viewed in theatres in Germany and was also presented here in New York at a film festival. The movie also has guest appearances with KRS-One, Kool G. Rap, MOP, Grandmaster Caz, Rocksteady Crew, and some of the best Graf artist in New York.
